Pro-Ject Phono Tube Box S2 Phono/Turntable Pre-Amp for MM and MC
Pro-Ject Phono Tube Box S2 Phono/Turntable Pre-Amp for MM and MC Cartridges
A phono pre-amp is one of the key ingredients to give you better sound from your cartridge/turntable... and the Tube Box S2 gives you a real taste of high end performance for either MM or MC cartridges. With a sprinkle of tube warmth the Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 also has a multitude of gain options and cartridge loading settings to optimise it to your chosen cartridge.
Unlike conventional phono stages, the Tube Box S2 harks back to a classic era of analogue sound, using a pair of valves to amplify your turntable’s signal. That different approach gives your sound a remarkably different feel, with outstanding warmth and a lush, laid-back sound that other phono stages just can’t touch.
With a host of settings, the Tube Box S2 works with both Moving Coil and Moving Magnet cartridges to make you fall in love with your records all over again. And all in a compact form-factor that’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand! Good things truly do come in small packages.
The Tube Box S2 will give a full and relaxed laid back sound with lush mids, just like you would expect it from a much bigger high end tube phono pre-amplifier. It offers support for both MM and MC cartridges and comes with many gain settings to be switched on the front panel. Five variable input impedance settings are available to adjust to any MM cartridge, the 47k ohms input impedance setting is fixed and suited for high output MC cartridges. The aluminium/metal casing is adapted to our DS2 line in looks and protects against vibrations and electromagnetic interferences for superior sound.
A true high end solution in a much smaller package!
