NAD C316 BEE V2 Integrated HiFi amp with Turntable Phono MM input
NAD Electronics have been making HiFi electronics since 1972 and continue making great value equipment that also makes music sound great.
Douglas HiFi NAD C316 BEE V2 Notes : The NAD C316 BEE V2 is the kind of amplifier that is a classic, basic analogue design that is a throwback to the great HiFi integrated amps from the 70's/80's. It is a simple plug n play affair with a detailed midrange and a surprising amount of musical clout for the price point/specification. The C316 accepts a turntable and up to 5 other analogue RCA/Aux inputs and includes musically useful Bass and Treble controls to tailor the sound.
The C 316BEE V2 is an all analogue budget HiFi integrated amplifier that has everything necessary for musical enjoyment from a variety of sources - it is following classic integrated amplifier design and has a bunch of essentials: six inputs, tone controls, a tape output, a headphone jack and it can power a pair of speakers (it is of course also full remote controlled). It has a compact size and a handsome yet understated exterior. It is essential NAD.
The NAD C316 is classic NAD - its bells and whistles may not be as extensive as some other more expensive offerings, the C 316V2 is a Budget HiFi masterpiece - it is far from a “stripped down” product. The NAD C316 has a toroidal transformer to help ensure a musical sound output. Featuring five line level inputs, an MM Phono Turntable Input, full IR remote control, defeatable tone controls (Bass and Treble) it also has a front panel AUX input for a phone, computer or tablet.
The musical "HiFi" power is a conservative 40 watts rms and the dynamic power (more important for music listening) is impressively more than 100 watts! This power is available across the entire audible band at a class leading 0.03%.
The sonic result of this high technology is a relaxed and inviting sound that digs out the subtle details in your favourite recordings and presents ensures that a wide and stable stereo sound stage presents music in a realistic manner with a sense of space and depth. The impressive dynamic power reserves make the C 316BEE V2 sound both articulate and alive. The silent background and low distortion gives a sense of solidity and presence to your music and brings out the best your loudspeakers have to offer
With the resurgence of vinyl NAD decided to include NAD’s highly acclaimed MM Turntable Phono RIAA stage. This sophisticated circuit combines low noise with high overload margins to eliminate noise and distortion. RIAA equalization is extremely accurate (a rarity at this price) and there is even an infrasonic filter to reject airborne vibrations that can cause parasitic subsonic feedback.
